Light yellow particles with pungent odor. Potassium Butyl Xanthate is soluble in water and alcohol, and forms insoluble compounds with various metal ions. It is a strong collector, used in the flotation treatment of sulfide polymetallic ore, with good selectivity. It can also be used as a vulcanization accelerator and precipitant in the rubber industry in the hydrometallurgical industry.
